I've always been fascinated with colors, textures, and the way things are put together. Design can be a way to express one's self, promote a pitch, change an environment, or tell a story. Nowadays, I am focused on designing for a theatrical space. However, the real-world training I've received in graphic design and designing for larger scale promotional purposes will never leave me. It is just another facet of how I approach my process, no matter the medium.
With dreams of becoming a character designer for animation when I was a kid, I find that the brightness of those colors still inspire me. I strive for clean lines and harmonic use of space. While the purpose of my more narrative-based work is to inspire empathy through storytelling, the purpose of my graphic design work is to fulfill the client's needs to full satisfaction and to, hopefully, also inspire JOY.
